Christmas gift guide

It's Not Me, It's You! Dating, relationship and lifestyle blog. Christmas gift guide.

Let’s face it, we all hate getting shitty presents. Whether that’s a bottle of perfume you hate or body wash that always gives you eczema but you’re too embarrassed to tell your Aunt to stop buying it for you but giving crap presents is just as bad as getting them.

I would hate to think that behind my back people moaned about what I got them. But fear not internet friends, I have put together a list of a few super thoughtful ideas that will be sure to knock the socks off the receiver and ensure you don’t fall into that terrible shit-present-giver category whatever your budget.

An Adexe watch. I was fortunate enough to be invited to an Adexe watch party recently. I had seen them all over Instagram but having never seen one in real life was worried about the quality. After being gifted a watch at the party, I have to say that I was really impressed. They are reasonably priced but of such high quality, not to mention that they all look amazing. It must have taken me about 15 minutes to decide which one I liked the most! You can buy them from here.

An experience. Some people are either difficult to buy for or just don’t really need/or want anything and in some cases, people are both of these things. I always try to think what I can get someone that’s not a physical gift but something that can be experienced instead, for bigger budgets that could be a holiday or theatre tickets but for those struggling for cash, even a nice home-cooked meal can make for a nice gift.

A personalised phone or laptop case. This present works well for two types of people. First, you have the obvious Mums and Nans who would love a picture of you two to protect their phones. But then you also bloggers or business owners who would love a laptop skin or case with their logo. It’s simple but it’s thoughtful and that goes a long way.

For the next few days, you can 20% off at Caseapp where you can get a beautiful personalised iPhone case or personalised laptop skin with the code LauraLovejoy20.

Personalised cookies. Staying on the personalisation theme, custom-made biscuits can make the perfect present when you’re on a budget. They can also make for great little party favours to give to guests during Xmas festivities. I recently ordered some from Jax Bakes for my birthday and not only did they look the part – but they also tasted delish!
