My name is Laura Lovejoy and before you ask, no, I am not a Simpson, yes, that is my real name and I am not related to Tim Lovejoy. I am a 22-year-old young professional that works in the wonderful world of public relations and lives just outside of London with my mostly wonderful boyfriend, Clint who is 30 and hates me telling everyone, so I thought I would post it on the internet.

We’ve been together nearly three years now which isn’t a huge amount in the grand scheme of things but in that short space of time, we’ve been through a hell of a lot. Including me supporting him while he set up a business and him supporting me while I did a degree, to the more usual, such as him having a motorbike accident and not being able to walk for months and us suddenly finding ourselves homeless.

So, you could say I have a lot of experience when it comes down to dealing with shit in a relationship. If you’re single you’re probably thinking what right does this person have to tell me about dating but I want to you remember two key points:

Firstly, I am not telling you how to live your life. Every person and every situation is different and my god have I done some fucked up stuff before, so I am in no position to judge. With the more I write, you will learn more about said ‘fucked-up shit’ although I will have to leave a lot to the imagination as I might get arrested if I share too much information. That was a lie, but you get the idea.

Secondly, you’re probably thinking what does she know about dating. She’s been with her boyfriend for almost three years. Think long and hard about this thought. I know a lot about dating because I did it (a lot) and was successful. While other people may be able to offer more up-to-date anecdotes of their dating lives, do you really want to be taking dating advice from someone who’s been single for years? Plus, I have enough friends still playing the game to know my Tinder from my Happn.

So, do have a read of some of my posts and let me know what you think. If you like them, give them a like or share. If you hate them and disagree completely, then great, the world would be a terrible a place if we all thought the same.
